Required Documentation

Applicants must submit the following original documents along with one (1) clear photocopy of each to the Consular Section:

• Form 2 Application: Two (2) printed copies of the duly completed Declaration of Dual Citizenship form (initiated via the eCitizen portal).
• Kenyan Passport: Valid or expired Kenyan passport (bio-data page and endorsement pages).
• Kenyan National ID Card: Original second-generation National ID Card.
• Foreign Citizenship Passport: Valid foreign passport (e.g., Philippine passport) showing the bio-data page.
• Naturalization Certificate: Official Certificate of Naturalization or Citizenship issued by the foreign government (translated to English if applicable).
• Passport Photographs: Two (2) recent, identical passport-sized colored photographs against a plain white background.

Declaration Process

Online Portal Entry

• Log in to the eCitizen portal (ecitizen.go.ke). Complete the electronic Form 2 under the Immigration section, upload the digital copies of your credentials, and print the generated form.

Consular Appointment

• Schedule an appointment with the Consular Section in the Philippines to present your physical document dossier for verification and endorsement by a consular officer.

Registry Update

• The verified application is processed by the Directorate of Immigration Services in Nairobi. Once updated, a Certificate of Declaration of Dual Citizenship is issued, completing your legal compliance.
