Application Process

Access the Official Portal

• Visit the official government website at www.etakenya.go.ke or download the official Kenya eTA mobile application. Applications should be submitted at least three (3) days before the intended travel date.

Upload Required Documents

• Complete the electronic application form and upload scanned copies of your supporting documents (see checklist below).

Fee Payment and Submission

• Pay the statutory processing fee online using a valid debit or credit card. Each traveler, including infants and children, must submit an individual application.

Receive Travel Authorization

• Once processed, your eTA document will be dispatched to your registered email address. You must print a physical copy or save it on your mobile device to present to airlines and immigration officers.

Core Requirements Checklist

Applicants must upload clear, legible copies of the following items during the online application process:

• Valid Passport: Must have a minimum validity of six months from your planned date of arrival in Kenya, with at least one blank page.
• Passport Photograph: A recent, clear digital photo against a white background.
• Contact Information: Valid email address and telephone number.
• Travel Itinerary: Confirmed flight arrival and departure details.
• Proof of Accommodation: A booking confirmation (e.g., hotel reservation) or an official invitation letter if staying with a host.
• Financial Sufficiency: Proof of adequate funds for the duration of the stay (e.g., credit card copy or bank statement, if requested).

Important Notice: An approved eTA does not guarantee automatic entry into the Republic of Kenya. Immigration officers at the port of entry retain the legal authority to deny admission if a traveler fails to satisfy standard immigration requirements upon arrival.
